EU AI Policy CheckerPreliminary EU AI Act assessment

Your answers

What is stored, and where

Short version: everything stays in your browser, and you can delete it in one click.

What is stored

Your answers, the question you were last on, the time you started, and the rule set version you started under. They are kept in this browser's local storage, under a single key.

Where it goes

Nowhere. There is no account, no server that receives answers, no database, and no analytics. The assessment runs entirely in the page. No part of it is sent to a language model or to any other service.

The site loads no third-party scripts and no external fonts, so opening it does not tell anyone else that you did.

How long it lasts

Until you delete it, or until your browser clears its site data. It is tied to this browser on this device, so it will not follow you to another machine.

How to delete it

Use "Start over" on the assessment screen, which removes the stored answers immediately and cannot be undone. Clearing site data for this site in your browser settings has the same effect.

If storage is blocked

In a private window, or with site data blocked, storage may fail. The tool detects that, tells you on screen, and carries on working for as long as the tab stays open. Your answers will not survive a reload in that case.

Downloads

The CSV and JSON downloads are produced in your browser and saved straight to your device. They are not uploaded anywhere. Both carry the assessment date, the rule set version, and the limitations statement, so a file that gets forwarded still says what it is.
